How to Properly Use the Bulldozer?

Jan. 29, 2020

The proper use of Bulldozer is an effective way to improve ergonomics. It can be seen from the calculation formula of the bulldozer's production string that all parameters except the shovel are variable. The factors affecting these variables are artificial and objective factors. It is mainly to resolve the influence of human factors, which is related to the construction method, construction organization and operation skills.

When the bulldozer pushes the soil, the soil is lost more, and it is related to the transportation distance and the construction method. Reducing soil loss and increasing the load factor are one of the important measures to improve the utilization rate of the bulldozer. Keep the economic distance of the bulldozer (30-45M), and choose the best construction method according to local conditions. It is an effective way to improve the load factor. The following Bulldozer China Factory introduces several common construction methods:

(1) Trench gear bulldozing. The bulldozer is repeatedly pushed and transported from the front line of the shovel area to form a ridge or ditch. Use of ridges or troughs to reduce the loss of soil transportation. Soil transportation within 40m, the work efficiency is increased by 15% -20%.

(2) Segmented (relay) bulldozing. When the distance is long and the soil is hard, the effect of segmental bulldozing is better. When working, the soil is pushed into piles from near to far. When it is estimated that a shovel can be reported, the mounds of soil are pushed to the unloading place from far to near.

Although this method can improve the earth-moving efficiency, it also increases the number of times the machine advances, retreats, shifts, and raises and lowers the blade. The more time lost. Therefore, the work efficiency can be improved only within the range of 50-70m.

(3) side by side bulldozing. The side-by-side bulldozing method is to use two or more bulldozers of the same type to move the bulldozers synchronously, which can reduce the loss of earth moving. However, the interval between the blades cannot be too small or too large, usually about 15-20cm. Using this method requires skilled operators to pay attention to the speed and direction of travel. Because the bulldozer consumes more time in the arrangement, the release distance cannot be too small (not less than 50m), and the push of some loose materials has a poor effect.

(4) Downhill bulldozing. The downhill bulldozing method uses the force component of the bulldozer's gravity when downhill to accelerate the shovel process. Increase the amount of earth moving to improve the operation efficiency. The slope should not exceed 20 degrees, otherwise it will be difficult for an empty car to back up and climb, which will reduce the efficiency.

(5) Grooving method. The bulldozer repeatedly cuts and bulldozes on a working line repeatedly to make the ground gradually form a shallow groove, and then repeatedly pushes in the groove to reduce soil leakage from both sides of the blade, which can increase 10% ~ 30 % Bulldozing. The depth of the groove is preferably about 1m, and the width of the soil pit between the groove is about 50m. It is suitable for long transportation distance and thick soil.

(6) Concentrated in heaps. The one-push method is used in hard soil, and the depth of cut is not large. The soil is first accumulated at one or more intermediate points, and then pushed to the unloading area in batches to keep the load full before the blade. The stacking distance should not be greater than 30m, and the height of bulldozing should be within 2m. This method can improve production efficiency by about 15%. It is suitable for transporting long distances, and the soil is relatively hard, or for long-distance sections.

The above-mentioned construction methods proposed by Excavator Manufacturer can be used individually or comprehensively according to the specific conditions of the site.
